The factory is the production of original design glass containers
for premium class products

The manufacturing capacity of the factory is 680 million glassware products per year. Two furnaces and seven machine lines are installed at the Kingisepp glass factory. The factory is aimed at the manufacture of bottles and jars with complex and exclusive geometry as well as containers for baby food.

The production capacities allow the use of different glass forming machines from 8 double-gob sections to 12 triple-gob sections. All variants for forming glass products are used in the production – Blow/Blow (bottles), Press&Blow (bottles and jars) and NNPB (lightweight bottles).

Modern automatic inspection machines of different types (optical and rotor) are in operation on all the production lines, allowing monitoring even for non-circular containers.

The factory utilises only natural raw materials and produces only environmentally safe products, which are distinguished by their high level of water and chemical resistance, considerable strength, flawless colour, and ideal geometric shape.

The equipping of a factory laboratory with modern equipment and the utilisation of various analysis methods allow manufacturing products in compliance with the requirements of Russian legislation and international standards.

The quality and safety management system for the manufactured products has been implemented, certified, and successfully operates at the factory in compliance with the requirements of the International Standards of ISO 9000, 22000 series, and НАССР principles.

The manufacturers of glass moulds for the Kingisepp glass factory, the European companies such as OMCO, STRADA, HEYE, are recognised leaders in western Europe.

The transparency of the glass is achieved due to the low level of colouring materials being less than 0.05%. The additional glass surface treatment upstream and downstream of the furnace ensures the preservation of glass containers during transportation and filling/packaging.

The pallet packing method is employed according to the pattern selected by the customer with the use of cardboard and/or polypropylene packing materials and shrink wrap. The pallets are strapped if necessary. The packing ensures a high level of protection against precipitations and dust, preservation of cargo, and the safety of warehousing operations.

An automated system for warehouse processes was introduced, which, in combination with the bar coding of products, allows efficiently managing and optimizing logistic processes. Products are shipped in containers according to the FIFO principle by motor and railway transport.

The factory manufactures products for leading companies in various industries. A portion of the products are exported to EEC countries. The factory’s partners appreciate both the high quality of its glass containers complying with the European standards and the excellent level of services rendered by the company - the timeliness and accuracy of order fulfilment, the prompt resolution of issues, and the high level of management at every level.

The factory has a full production cycle, from the designs of the internal design office to product storage and transportation. The company’s development strategy is aimed at increasing the production of glass containers while maintaining and improving the quality of manufactured products due to increased production efficiency.

The plants history

Kingisepp glass factory was the first in Russia to start not only production, but also the decoration of manufactured glass containers

2000
The Veda-PAK company was established, construction of the factory’s first stage was initiated on the site of a former metalworking factory. More than 20 contractors were involved in production, which are among the largest companies in Saint Petersburg: CJSC SMU-13 Metrostroy and CJSC Soyuzteplostroy-Peterburg. The Saint Peterburg Giprosteklo Design Institute acted as the general designer.
2002
The first stage of the factory was put into operation. The new company started to master the production of the most in-demand products — bottles, jars for instant coffee, and baby food containers.
2003
Two lines for decorating bottles were installed at the factory. Veda-PAK has become the first Russian glass container factory performing not only production but also the decoration of manufactured glass containers.
2004
The second stage of the factory was put into operation, which is equipped by more advanced glass-forming and inspection machines. The factory capacity reached 600 tonnes of products per day.
2005
The company successfully passed the quality audits by Coca-Cola, Sun Interbrew, and Heineken. The production of baby food containers (Lebedyansky) started.
2007
The process business model was successfully introduced: starting from this moment, the activity of Veda-PAK was governed by process-based principles: PBO (Process Based Organisation). This model allows determining the most effective methods of operation and quickly adopting the positive experiences of other companies. A number of contracts with food industry leaders were concluded. The volume of products manufactured increased to 580 million pieces due to improved production efficiency.
2012
The reconstruction and modernisation which began in 2010 was completed, the first workshop was commissioned.
2016
The factory successfully passed the first certification according to the British Retail Consortium BRC standard. From this moment, the high level of the quality and safety management system for the manufactured products is confirmed on an annual basis.
2018
Modernisation of process line 1.4 was performed. This enabled manufacturing using twin- and triple-gob mode on 12 sections by B&B and P&B methods that ensures smoother production planning.
